Bondi Bars

If you are tired of being marooned on the streets or being imprisoned in the same familiar city clubs after Lock-Out Laws rears its ugly, oppressing face at 1:30am. We have news for you. Don’t go to the casino and blow your east coast trip on a game of roulette. Head over to find these Bondi Bars instead, where the people are good looking, the vibe is energetic and more importantly, the alcohol is flowing.

So if you wanted a change in scenery, here are a few of Coast Warriors suggestions:

If a long day of laying in the sun put you in the mood for cocktails, then head straight over to Bucket List. This sweet bar lets you kick back in an open air setting, pound back drink right on the edge of the beach. It is a fantastic way to start a night out or for weekend day drinks in the sun. It’s great on a Sunday but more so in summer when the weather is great.
Beach Road Hotel! This place is an iconic Bondi favourite. The ground level bar is aimed towards sports watching, pool, chilled beers and meals in the outdoor beer garden. Out the back of Level one has an amazing burger place called BL. They have a Blame Canada Burger which is a beef burger with maple bacon and poutine!! It literally features all the best things about Canada, on a burger. Definantly check this out while walking between Bondi Bars
The rest of level one is reserved for a huge bar/nightclub set up where they have live gigs or DJ’s pumping until 1am.  Usually busy especially on a Wednesday and on the weekend.

Social and Relaxing Bondi Bars

Although more in Bondi Junction rather than Bondi Beach, El Topo is a great after hours choice as it stays open to 4am Wednesday through to Saturday. It lives in the basement of the Eastern. El Topo is great for solid nights outs, cutting sick on the dance floor and usually there are some reasonably priced drink options. It is a great way place to spend the late night/early morning hours of power,  raging into intoxication before stumbling home via a late night kebab shop and drowning yourself in garlic sauce with cut rate, oil drenched meat.

A few more honorable mentions would be:

Spring St Social: Live music Tuesday through Saturday, licensed to stay open until 3am, great cocktails and happy hour specials. They also have a monthly Beers, Burgers and Blues night held each month.

Bondi Bowling Club
It doesn’t get much more Aussie than hanging in the sun, punching schooeys and playing some barefoot bowls with your mates. Most bowling clubs are more geared towards the senior citizens however, Bondi bowling club is targeted towards a younger demographic with great drinks selections, nice food, DJs and day parties in the warmer months. A must do in summer and one of the best social Bondi Bars on the map
